UNINFO training for UN Eswatini agencies

On 14 July 2023, the United Nations Eswatini, through the Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) and the Development Coordination Office (DCO) at UN Headquarters, conducted UNINFO training for data management officers in UN agencies in Eswatini.

The training, also attended by officers from UN Uganda, was facilitated by DCO’s Jonathan Obise and RCO’s Zandile Simelane.

UN INFO is a data management tool for the United Nations system across the world. It shows implementation of UN programmes and projections by location, including supporting agencies and implementing partners.

UNINFO is part of UN’s efforts to improve coherence, transparency, accountability and coordination to better address the needs and priorities in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is an online planning, monitoring and reporting platform that digitizes the UN Country Team’s results. UN INFO also tracks the UNCT’s contributions to Agenda 2030 and the SDGs and fulfills the UN’s promise to be a leader and partner of choice in the international development sphere.

Since January 2019, the reinvigorated Resident Coordinator system has ensured timely, coherent and effective UN support to countries, which has been critical at a time of extraordinary challenges facing the globe, the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and increased global volatility.
